Tallahassee, Florida Gets Ready to Party Rock with LMFAO

Said to be the biggest event in Tallahassee history, the Rivalry Music Festival hits Florida's capital on Sunday, September 6, 2009.

LMFAO is the headlining act, performing alongside Miami producer, George Acosta (ranked #59 on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ list), DJ Irie, the official Miami Heat DJ, and legendary house music producer/DJ Robbie Rivera.

"The craziest party of the year", according to Committee Entertainment, the masterminds behind the music festival, will feature a beer pong tournament, a bikini contest, and a gaming tent--all in celebration of the first football game of the year (and the biggest rivalry in the state)--the Florida State Seminoles v. the University of Miami Hurricanes.

The event will shut down "the Strip", the infamous part of Tennessee Street. Floyd's Music Store, the Irish Pub, and the Lower Lounge will be open all day long--each club will represent a different music genre. An outdoor stage will also be set up.

The party kicks off at noon and goes past 2 a.m. on Monday, September 7.

Can you say "drink all day, play all night?"

When asked which act they're most excited for, both Committee Entertainment planners and FSU students agree: LMFAO. "They have a bright future ahead," says Committee Entertainment Director of Advertising & Marketing, Lukasz Tracz.

Flyers for the event are all over town--from the FSU campus to its surrounding bars, clubs, and restaurants. Rivalry Music Festival commercials play on Tally's HOT 104.9 during every commercial break, and students are getting pumped up, screaming, "I'm in Tally, bitch!" when "I'm In Miami Bitch" comes on in the clubs.

The town is expecting thousands upon thousands of both Florida State students and University of Miami students (traveling from Miami, bitch for the big game). Floyd's has a maximum capacity of just a few hundred, so fans should get there early to see LMFAO rock the beat and rock the show.

LMFAO takes the stage at Floyd's toward the end of the Rivalry Music Festival--undoubtedly, they are saving the best for last.

The Tallahassee show kicks off a 5-day Florida tour. Miami fans can catch LMFAO again on September 9, 2009 at LIV.

Start the pre-game early with LMFAO!
